New life style or eating changes?!?1


I went to the doctors the other day and after a pretty serious conversation she stated that she thinks I should cut all meat from my diet for the next year.  I already do not eat red meat or pork.  I absolutely cannot give up seafood; this is why I live in Maryland! Hello blue crabs! All I have left is chicken and turkey. I am going to give them up and start this life style. Frank (the hubby) is ok with it because he is still going to eat his meats! But I am very glad that he is supportive because this is something that I have been struggling to decide for a few months now. I know that there are a lot of benefits to a plant (and seafood :)) diet. There are two things I am hoping for less migraines and less eczema breakouts. If this becomes under control over the next year I will be SOLD!

I am excited to get on this wagon. I got a juice machine from my Mom (thanks Mom) and I am already looking up green juices. With so many where does one begin? Lucky for me I already have friends who live like this so getting their feedback is pretty awesome. I got some cucumber to begin…now what to add to it?!?

I made some  new dishes for myself, black bean dip, Frank liked it after he doctored it up some more and I also made some chickpeas salad. I need to perfect that one but for my first time I think that it was pretty tasty.  🙂

This journey is going to be interesting but I am excited change is good.

New Training Program

I have started this new training program called X-Factor and that the same X-Factor with the Britney Spears. This is I swear Marine Corps working out! It is insane but I LOVE it.

I found this at the Crofton Golds with Danny Lee  you can find him on Facebook.  He also has a partner in crime Kendra, she is a cool down to earth chick who can do these amazing hand stands. The class is so intense and amazing and I will be honest the first day I almost threw up. Yeah, not so great but I registered for 3 months of classes. 🙂

I attend 2 times a week and each time it is very different. You are either running laps, doing suicides, blurpees, push ups (my favorite; just kidding), squats, planks and the list goes on  and on.

I am 3 weeks in and I attend at 6am. Why do I torture myself so much??!?! Especially when I have to leave my house at 5:30 am to get there. GGRRRR

Every class is hard-core, blood, sweat and tears. Sometimes I just stare at the trainers and think to myself “are they really serious?” And yes they are as they smile and say “good job you got this!”. TEARS!

I am very excited I can already feel my body changing my leg muscles are already coming back and the definition is going to be amazing! Danny said that this is life changing and I believe folks that he is correct.

Saturday tip

Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is gave a great weekend. Today I am giving you a little workout tip. Every time you send a text message do 10 push ups. Worked your arms yesterday do 10 squats.

Living Life

Today I received this from one of my customers.  It was so nice and inspiring that I felt the need to share.
Living Life
Life is not a race-but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say “thank you”, “I love you”, and “great job” to  someone each day. Go to church, take time for prayer. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh.  Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper. Love your life and what you have been given, it is not accidental-search for your purpose and do it as best you can. Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to be. Laugh often. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things are really free. Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming. Forgive, it frees the soul. take time for yourself-plan for longevity. Recognize the special people you have been blessed to know. Live for today, enjoy the moment.

Wacky WeDnEsDaY

Today is just one of those lovely days where I personally want to start over.  First I realized at 12:00 AM that I am VERY behind on my studies.  I have 7 weeks to study 22 weeks worth of material.  No pressure and I believe that I work a little bit better under pressure but this is just insane.  It is a self inflected wound (as a previous boss would say) so I cannot complain (that much).  However, the next 7 weeks I am going to live on Water, Coffee, Double X Vitamins, and Rhodolia 110.   CPT you will be mine in September!

Next I was supposed to get up at 5:40 AM totally did not wake up 6:40 AM fastest shower and make up application in my history.  Shout out of apologies to those individuals on  the major highways 110, 95, 450, and 202.

This morning when I was driving into work I heard a young lady call in about the heat and those EXCELLENT linemen that were working their butts off this past week to assist in restoring our power here in the DMV. She said “I did not have power for 3 days and I cannot imagine what a week would have felt like. I will take no power any day than sitting at John Hopkins with my child praying she/he will survive.” I stopped in my tracks and realized that nothing is REALLY worth complaining and yes my Wednesday is going to be wacky.  I will take it because I am healthy, happy, and determined.
